Patient Testimonials

To anyone about to have a bone marrow biopsy:

Early on in my battle with lymphoma, I realized that maintaining a positive attitude about my illness not only benefited me and my family, but also for newly diagnosed cancer patients who were reaching out for advice.

During some feedback, I remember trying to put a positive spin on the marrow test by telling them it was over quickly.  I also found if I held my wife’s hand during the procedure, somehow it hurt less.

Well, that and Valium helped me get through the first twelve times I had to have the test.

For my next one, Doctor Goldenberg told me about a new type of needle he invented for the procedure.  I liked what I heard and asked him to use it on me.

I’m happy to report very positive findings for my thirteenth.  His needle, which he calls the Snarecoil Needle, required none of that pumping and twisting one usually has to endure.  And without that nasty part, there’s just about no pain.  And far less discomfort the following day.

I had the same positive experience with my fourteenth as well.

Bottom line, the Snarecoil Needle allows me to be truly upbeat and positive when telling a fellow cancer patient about the procedure.  Which means they in turn can concentrate on positive healing thoughts, rather than the negative of worrying how much it’s going to hurt.

Sincerely,
Alan Honig
